What is Nusantara Foundation?
Nusantara Foundation is a non-profit organization registered in Washington, DC. The foundation is established as a community based operating foundation that is publicly supported, operated by, and for the benefit of Indonesian culture in the international community. Nusantara receives funds from a variety of individual donors, and provide a vehicle for donors to establish endowed funds without incurring the costs of starting a foundation. Nusantara is administered by a governing body.

Who are the founders?
Nusantara Foundation founders consist of professionals from different backgrounds with the same commitment and vision. They are longing to preserve and promote Indonesian culture while living in the international community. The founders recognize that these cultures has shaped and identified them as unique individuals with tolerance and great perspectives to their own and other cultures. You can see their bios here.

When was Nusantara Foundation started?
Nusantara Foundation was conceived during the beginning term of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, in 2009. The founders realize that Indonesia with a huge variety of ethnic cultures, yet the world in general and Americans know very little about Indonesia. The Nusantara Foundation is established to share the rich Indonesian culture with the international community.

Where does Nusantara Foundation operate?
Nusantara Foundation is registered in Washington, DC and operates according to the law and without the physical limitation of its registered office.

How will the Nusantara Foundation achieve its vision?
The foundation runs program and activities, such as manage a conference, exhibitions, performance arts those relates to the Indonesian culture. Nusantara values the diversity, professionalism and uniqueness of each subject of its program and activities.

What is the relationship between the Nusantara Foundation and the Indonesian Embassy?
Nusantara views the Embassy as a partner.

Does the Nusantara Foundation provide grants?
The foundation may provide grants to any individuals or organization who contributing their life/activities for the cause of Indonesian culture.

Does the foundation have members?
