Art Therapy for Special Education

When he heard about the work by Brothers Charity (FC) in Indonesia, Mr. Eddy N. Sandjaja, was very interested to see first hand of the work during his vacation in Indonesia. He tried to contact various parties, including the government and other groups. Finally, the lecturers from ISI (Art Institute of Indonesia) Yogyakarta is willing to partnership to develop of Art & Culture in SLB-C (School for Special Needs Children) Karya Bhakti, Purworejo – Central Java where the Brother Charity works.

The collaboration was to bring the lecturers to the school and to teach the children with special need some dances and music, for therapy and to cultivate their interest in Indonesian Culture. The Nusantara Foundation, through the efforts of its members and our president director provided 2/3 of the funding to make this collaboration a reality.
